Nowadays, we all need to stay highly conscious about our health. This course at Kingston College of Science gives us a thorough insight into our daily nutritional needs, which we must know to maintain a healthy lifestyle. The course makes us well acquainted about the daily food habits, so that we can spread global awareness about keeping the bustling world away from diseases, and about the multiple ways to boost immunity without taking medications. Join the course at KEI to gather every valuable piece of information about all these, and to grab every opportunity to lead all together in multifaceted domains of Diet Therapy Nutrition Therapy Diabetic Education Food Safety Issues Sports Nutrition Community Nutrition Food companies: Most packed food brands (Nestle, etc) employ Food science graduates in various departments (Research, production, quality etc). Hospitals: For this, one needs to get an internship with a registered dietitian (RD) after graduation and then give an exam to be certified as an RD. Every good hospital employs a few clinical nutritionists and dieticians for routine patient check ups. Independent consultation and practice: After getting a few years of experience, one can become a consultant for health centres (Diabetic centre, fitness, weight loss etc) depending on their area of expertise. Research - An individual may also decide to get into industrial or academic research. Also, hotels, food safety, quality control & much more
The course content of Food and Nutrition assimilates the relation between the production and consumption aspects of food with the clear understanding of biological and chemical structure of food and its impact the level of nutrition. The program focuses on the aspects of nutrition, maintenance of hygiene, the techniques of preservation and its importance to health.

Due to this pandemic situation, the whole world has got stuck. But with the inspiration and guidance of our Respected Secretary Madam Uma Bhattacharjee, President Sir Tipam Bhattacharjee and Academic Advisor Sir Mr. Manishankar Chakrabarty, the teachers of FNTA department are able to teach their students through E learning procedure. A nobel initiative taken by Kingston Educational Institute.
